Hi,

I'm from The Netherlands and own a 1990 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo.

I bought it about 4 months ago, it was offered for parts, I immediately bought it from internet without seeing the car itself in real.

It has no transmission or engine in it (yet), but I didn't cared.

I saved it and want to restore it completely one day to it's original showroom condition.

Here are some photos from the day I picked it up...

Most interior parts where stored inside the car, the rear bumper came also with it, so for most part it was complete.

Only one inerior panel is missing and the drivers window. (+the engine and transmission then)

  • I brought the Nissan convertible to the warehouse where it will stay nice and dry. I also removed the mudflaps, looks much better without them...

  • Thanks for the tip!   Here are some more photos after I just washed the car...

This is the Nissan FAST record for the car (build date August '94). It is a federal emissions controlled vehicle (no exhaust gas temp sensor - error code 35).

I suggest when you get the car imported you check the ECU fault codes for yourself to see what is recorded.

The Nissan 300ZX convertible is picked up from the car dealer in the US and just arrived in the port of New York.

Here are some photos from the moment it was picked up...

I'm going to replace the exhaust later by an original again.

I also asked for photos when the car is inside the container, so maybe new photos soon again!

Are you going to leave the seats the way they are or going back to black how it originally was?

CK2 Cocoa Bronze Metallic with Z trim White Leather (although more like cream) was a factory combination. The white interior was only available on convertibles with leather seats. But you're right, that car was aftermarket white leather. You can tell because the seat handle is still black and the rest of the interior is black. The factory trim looks like this:

I love the look from the convertible, not sure which one I love more, but I think the convertible a little more.

Yeah, I think it's pretty rare to have this model spoiler on it, normally you always see them without it.

I actually wanted one without a spoiler, but now I like it.

(I already have picked up the car last Wednesday!! :), but I wanted to start at the beginning with the photos) ;)

Yes, they indeed did.

I also asked for the many photos, I always like to keep a "digitial photo book" from everything with my cars. :)

The car was removed out of the shipping container and ready for pick up, waiting for me between many nice other toys!

Yes, when the car is originally delivered like this, only then it will be allowed to have small license plates on it.

In the next month or so I'm going to import / register the car.

Thank you!...I'm really happy with it, it's very well mentained, so in almost perfect condition.

I think we need to organise a european club trip next year to meet up with our european zed cousins!

1990 Black MT NA LWB = 2014 - 2020 (Sold)

1991 Red MT TT LWB = 2015 - 2017 (Stripped & Scrapped)

1991 Red MT TT LWB = 2017 - 2021 (Sold)

1991 Black MT TT LWB = 2018 - 2021 (Sold)

1989 Red AT TT LWB = 2021 - XXXX (Kept)

Sweet. I see there's a passenger airbag - something US, I guess because mine's not got one. I wonder how many convertibles we've got in the forum now?

A meeting would be a great idea, but I don't think I could come. (I have to many things where money goes to or still has to go to.)

But one day I am going to make a trip from The Netherlands to Portugal with my convertible.

I especially searched for one with two airbags, it's always good to have.
