Hello everyone,

I've recently acquired a swb 300zx but it's in need of some TLC, desperately. Me too, but that's another subject entirely..:D

Anyway, previously I had an s14, with around 400hp which was interesting to drive but I've had nothing but bad luck with that car, so it's in 4 pieces now and all performance stuff has been sold except for a few bits and pieces.

Which leaves me with an awful lot of money to spend, but I'm looking to spend it wisely, hence me signing up to the board for some decent information, good advice, occasional banter and whatnot.

So, on to the 300, here are some pics. Please advice if the pics are too large. Mostly rusted parts as that's the first problem to tackle, along with an engine rebuild. I'll be doing most of it myself since I have welding equipment and kind of know how to use it and to save some cash along the way. More positive pics will follow but for now, here's a reality-check..

Thanks Gaz!

I know, I've already gone through a few threads. Seems I'm in for something messy :D

Yes, it is an import. It's gone from the states to France, from there to Luxembourg. Finally onto Nivelles in Belgium, where I went and bought it.

Nasty side mirrors though, they enlarge the picture. So I'll be replacing those some time as well.

Good luck with ur Z!

I think it's good u know how to weld & the rust patches are not bigger under the paintwork!

Welcome to the forum.

I too had a similar introduction to the dreaded tin worm, the links attached may hopefully give you some optimism.

Welcome. Good luck with your project, looks like it could be a touch rusty.

Thanks! It seems so yeah, I was a bit let down at first as I didn't expect it to be this bad. Must admit I was slightly overwhelmed (blinded) with the comfort and smoothness of driving it when buying it.

Thanks! They might be however, I haven't really dug any further yet. We'll see.

Welcome. Look forward to the updates!

Thanks, me too to be honest :D

Hello Richard. Thanks! I might take you up on that sometime soon.. :)

Hello Kenny, I'm from Belgium too. I live in Halle, 40min driving from Leuven :-) . Did you managed to get your car registred here?

Greetz, Mike.

Hi Mike, first of all, welcome to the board!

It's still in need of some work, but I already have the pink document needed for registration when visiting the technical inspection. I THINK it shouldn't be a problem, but will know for sure once I go there which might still take a while.. I understand this isn't of much help to you :)
