Ever since my spray job my drivers doors not shutting properly and it needs adjusted.

 

Never done this so is it easy enough ?

 

Is it just a matter of slackening the three bolts and holding the door higher then tightening ?

 

Only issue I foresee is that the wing can't come off as I have skirts going over the top of them.

generally they cant be adjusted. The door drops because the hinge itself wears. A general inspection of the lower hinge assembly will reveal if the normally tight fitting pin has flared out the hinge assembly. Also determined by movement in the door of you try to lift it up. A quick and easy solution is to:-

1. Loosen both bolts on the lower hinge as so that the entire hinge assembly moves away from the door

2. Remove 1 bolt completely, slide a few (2-3) 8mm washers between the hinge assembly and door body, making sure the holes align with the removed bolt.

3. Refit the bolt firmly (so as to support the weight of the door, but not pull the hinge assembly against the door body

4. Repeat the procedure for the opposite bolt

 

Alternatively, source some PASSENGER side door hinges (will only have been used a fraction of the amount of the drivers side), flip them and fit to your drivers side.

The doors are very long and heavy and can overtime distort the sheet metal slightly on the door. An easy solution to this is to open the door a few inches and pull up on the back edge of the door hard, it will bend the door back a bit.

 

A thing to check first though is that the door striker was positioned correctly after removal for the respray. It is secured with a floating plate and has quite a bit of adjustment. What's the panel gap like?

The washer slipped between the bottom hinge and door works well and only takes a few minutes, just make sure the hole in the washer is big enough cos the bolts have shoulders on them so the hole has to be big enough for the shoulder to fit through . hth
