Just changed my oil to 10-40w part synthetic. Bit of ticking. Just wondered if these are the lifters I can hear

I did previously use fully synthetic oilhttps://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10206279504060124&id=1641633174&ref=m_notif&notif_t=video_processed&actorid=20531316728

stick to the 10/40 semi buddy and see how it goes. these 90,s engines and there fairly slack tollerances by todays standards should not be run on fully synth imho, myself i used to run my zeds on a good quality mineral oil but changed it every 2000 mile and sometimes as close as 1200 miles;)

You could try some Wynns sticky lifter treatment. It's not guaranteed to work and simply cleans out the lifters a touch but it's a relatively cheap and very simple thing to try. If it doesn't work, it cost you a few quid, if it does, it does. On the shelf at most motorist shops including Halfords.
