Curious to know what a z32 would sound like with just straight through stainless 3inch pipes and no back boxes/silencers?

Like it's blowing?

I've started it with just downpipes on it and it sounded like a tractor lol

Wanna have 3inch custom pipes all the way to the back with no silencers but hVe welded bolt joins at the end where the bad boxes would be so I can have the option of running with or without them.

Am I mad?

So yeah it will be louder without them, but to be honest I'm not exactly convinced by a completely unsilenced system, verges on "farty" for me

You'd only get tired if it was your daily drive. I've only done a few thousand miles in the last 6 years. When i do drive it I want it to be different and a bit crazy I also take it out when I wanna get my own back on the world

Seen as I drive a smart car on a regular basis and everyone on the road steps all over me. Complete opposite in my zed, people sometimes pull over to let me pass, or they always let me pull out just to see the car and give me a thumbs up.

No mate....

.......My Zed has not been my DD since 2004 - but I would still get tired of that noise! I do, however, use my Zed for holidays and Sunday jaunts - wherein I might travel over 1,000 miles in a week; or a couple of hundred on a Sunday. So by the time I'd been on the motorway for 5 minutes, my ears would be bleeding and I'd be wishing I'd have walked!!!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

My zed's not my daily drive, it only goes to meets and show, I love it and the noise, but drove it back from japfest without the bungs in, 10mins up the road I regreted it.

With the bungs in its OK but still drones on long journeys, hence why I now have electric valves in my exhaust so I can shut off the drone whilst cruising,

Not trying to put you off, I like the noise just recommend you have a way of silencing quickly it if needed.

Last time I had mine sound tested it hit 99db so I'm guessing my 10year old silencers have had it anyway so probAbly loud as hell now anyway as it also drones on the motorway and you can't talk to passengers, but ive gotten used to it. Without the silencers I'm guessing it may sound a little more farty as nick mentioned. But full throttle sounds insane I love it.
