Hey guys,

Quick one as all the googling on earth hasn't helped me with this so far.

I am having some new wheels, coilovers, and brakes fit on weds, and have bought some spacers to prevent rubbing. But I am wondering whether i will need to get some extended bolts for 16mm spacers?

Here is the link..

Any help appreciated!

bums! I only just thought, aha! what if the bolts aren't long enough.

Haven't upgraded the calipers, but have some drilled and grooved discs and street performance pads going on, so hopefully notice something!

That won't cause clearance issues anyway then. You can worry about it later. If you don't have a long enough thread the lack of engagement would/could be very dangerous.

Yeah true - if I have new discs and pads though (the old ones are really worn) wont that mean I have less clearance on the new ones? I literally get by with about 1mm at the moment ha.

No the calliper body is fixed. The pistons move within that frame. It all stays the same. You will find that your alignment goes to hell when you lower it though. Who's doing the work?

ahh okay cool! I have a friend who is a mechanic of 30 yrs who does most of my stuff, and then going over southampton to the wheels alignment center to have the tracking done. They specialise in lowered/drift cars. I have all adjustable parts so should be able to get a nice setup! Just dreading the drive there haha.

You will be fine. I need mine setup properly. It's just done by eye atm. Everything is still setting in so I'm not worried about it too much just yet.

Thanks for the heads up :)

This is the guy I use for alignment, always very good! Has a good laser system which is apparently better than the hunter machines.

Is yours back on the road now then? How is she running??

There is a good simple guide/explanation to toe camber and castor on that website.

Well worth a read by anyone not familiar with the terms and their meaning.

Yes you will need extended studs. Basically anything 10mm and over you'll require extended studs on the Z32.

Thanks for the heads up :)

Yup all back up and running. Well 99%, it's road worthy. Some niggles to sort, oil pressure gauge is faulty, brakes need bleeding again and the alignment is crap.
