I wondered if anyone has any suggestions.

Car sitting in the garage (and has been for some time) and they're not sure where to go next.

We going on a rolling road this week to see if we can identify the fault.

When car is driven it won't rev above 3000rpm in all gears so pulling away is a nightmare. You can rev in like mad when in neutral.

I replaced all the injectors and the car was working fine.

I have changed the entire engine wiring loom so all the connectors actually connect.

3 of the 6 coil packs have been replaced with new

I have a new MAF so it's not that

Just before the problem started I was driving throttling down and something went pop like a muffled exhaust backfired.

The garage found a split in the exhaust manifold/flange (think that what it was) that's now been repaired but the problem persists.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Whilst you've fitted a new wiring harness, did you thoroughly clean all the connectors and sensors that it plugged into and have you checked the voltage at the TPS?

Garage did it and they are very thorough.

I was putting some polished bits in at the same time Plenum, turbo pipes. etc. so everything got a good a good clean.

Any connectors that might be a particular problem?

Thanks

Did you double check all the pipework was sealed? No leaks? Did the garage disturb anything like the TPS? Check the TPS voltage, it should read 0.45v. Also try dropping some codes off.

You say you have a new maf, where was it purchased? For eg, cheap Chinese copies are notorious for issues .

Thanks for the codes tip. I'll take that in to the guys at the garage and see if they have tried that.

The MAF was bought from Z1.

I thought it would be that as I had a problem with a MAF a few years back with a similar problem.

So as I thought that would fix the problem I decided to upgrade at the same time so I upgraded to the dual set up (cost a bloody fortune with the extra filters, Selin translator, import duties and tax) but it wasn't the cause.

Thanks

Have you checked you haven't over tightened the ecu connector? It can cause it to bow and loose signal to some sensors. Loosen it off a touch and press the ends back into the plug if you have. That would be my first item to check. Then each connector in the bay.

first connector to check is the one from the temp-sensor
