Well a conversation with Slick Pete at a recent track event put me in contact with a very helpful chap from Nissan.

The reason was unrelated to what im about to say but during our email conversation I thought I would ask if he could help me find a vary rare thing indeed.

The "Thing" is the original dealer sales brochure for the 99 spec version R. I have a copy of an early 90's brochure and they are a very nice addition to the collection however given how few of these Version R cars exist I thought finding that elusive brochure would be an impossible task.

So I was very surprised when this gent replied and said they have a cupboard with old sales stuff in it and after looking he had found "ONE" original Jap sales brochure with the version R in it and he would post it to me with Nissans compliments.

So imagine how blown away I was when it arrived in the post and on reading said brochure I found it covered all the special edition models for that period Version R, Versions S, std NA and Std TT and a couple of pages showing the optional extras you could order.

Its not got many pages and its only an A4 document but its got some very nice photo's in it and I will treasure it.

So top marks to Nissan for making my day and a big thanks to Pete for putting me in contact.

I saw that picture before and this thread gave me the idea it probably was from a brochure. The picture led me back to the full brochure there.

All 36 pages... well it would have been but it's 14MB and too big for the forum upload. Anyone got somewhere I can upload it to?

I've never seen the yellow seats as in that last page Ian posted. Wouldn't be surprised if nobody ordered them though.

In the brochure they are a sort of mustard tan coloured leather

I'll PM you my email address and you can send it to me.

Just a quick update to this thread, Just before I set off to Lake Z Dave (Car Mad) contacted me to say he too had a copy of the same sales brochure c/w its original posh folder and the tech info brochure that came in the pack too. So I promptly purchased it from him and set off to Lake Z.

On arrival at the venue after a short while Red Barron pitched up in his new super rare 260Z and wandered over and handed me a brown envelope.

Inside was yet another set of brochures and the posh folder and also included the original price list for the car and all its options , (all in Japanese of course). Red Baron tells me he's had it in his loft for 10 years or more and knowing I had Zebedee he kindly donated the documents to me FOC.

On arriving home I found the set that Dave had posted me too so I now have more than enough brochures to display at shows.

What a top set of guys, so just like busses when I was waiting for one to turn up 3 coma along in short succession.

I have to say also that its the generosity of this clubs members that make it the great club it is and I for one are proud to be among you guys.
