New to this forum but have owned z32's for 15 years now..... located in the US, not the UK ;)

I have an issue currently with my oil filter tree. My z is a 1990 TT chassis, with a "JDM" motor installed recently.

I'm truly not sure which oil filter tree I have on my z. The "mechanic" installed the oil pressure sending unit into the tree in order to utilize the stock harness (U.S. passenger side), but the tree doesn't have the "spout" for the oil cooler line.

I'm starting to think I have a EURO spec oil filter tree, or perhaps a 97-99 JSPEC motor, etc.

The oil filter tree has the 2 check ball valves in it (unlike the NA trees which don't have these check valves).

I also have an oil pressure sending unit installed on the driver's side (left side for USDM cars).

I'm hoping someone can post a pic, or explain clearly how EURO models are hooked up (oil filter tree and oil cooler).

Thanks in Advanze!!!!

Thanks guys. More digging to be done today :)

By the way.... how do you post pics correctly on this forum? I searched quickly but didn't find an answer.

Z ya!

there is a Little difference between the tt Jap and US oil filter tree .. and its more of the Angle of how the filter sits .. both have the same Oil cooler lines and Tap ports

how ever JAP/UK have the Oil Pressure sender on the Passenger side of the engine

as to US/Euro ( LHD ) has the oil pressure sender on the Oil Tree Housing

to tell what Engine u have installed u can only see the Stamp cast Markings on the Side of the Cylinder head ( Manifold side between cam pulley and exhaust port )

Will be

N/A = S1 p36

N/A = S2 P10

TT = S1 p40

TT = S2 p46

left is a EURO (LHD) tree (with sender removed), right one is a JDM (RHD) Tree

...the JDM/RHD tree seems more robust/sturdier and filter sits at a slightly different angle.
