uneven tickover

Hi Guys , after a hard drive, engine cut out at junction, started easy enough, then once home, tickover went erratic, dropping to about 500rpm then revving to about 1200 rpm then down again. 300 TT auto, 1991 standard everything

Hi, Thanks for the reply. Had a look at the link, seems simple enough. Will give the connectors a look over at the weekend.

I think it's more than likely a boost/vac leak (air escaping). I had the same problem where the car was stalling after boost, generally ok on normal driving. The revs would only be up and down, just after (especially if Id managed to stop it from stalling, a bit like the car was gasping for air. So I'd start there personally. Might turned out to be a split pipe coming from one of the turbos so I oak ages to find
