For such a commonly used Nissan part they are hard to find a rebuild kit for. Anyone found a good UK source other than the Zcentre as it's extortionate from there.

I personally would never use a rebuild kit on a 25 year old master cylinder. I would only use new.

The bit that wears/deteriorates is the metal bore due to repeated abrasion with brake fluid contaminated with water etc as the piston moves in the bores.

Most mainline garages wont do it.

However its your car/life thats at risk if it fails .... so its your call.

Which manufacturer (NABCO or TOKICO)?

Nabco Andrew. I believe the tokico ones are no longer available.

I didn't realise that Pete. I thought the rubber deteriated over time as rubber does. I did the clutch one last year, obviously less important. So I thought it would be a similar process. It may not even be the issue but I want to prepare for the possibility, esp considering the early ones are known for being a bit naff and leaking. It may just be air caught in the system, still.

They also normally leak from a little hole in the cylinder and I rebuilt one few years back and still leaked,

I think the newer cylinders were redesigned and don't have the little hole that leaks...
