THE GOOD PARTS

  • Genuine 99 spec rear lights fitted
  • Meister R coilovers fitted all round
  • Interior panels and seats retrimmed in red connoly leather hide in good conditions
  • Polished stainless cat back exhaust
  • Series two climate control fitted
  • No smoke from the turbos and runs perfectly
  • Low mileage and totally stock engine, cats still attached and not track driven
  • Comes with premium halfords car cover
  • Rare Slicktop SWB
  • Converted to MPH and running a hicas eliminator

THE BAD PARTS

  • Registered cat 'C'
  • Damage to top corner of rear bumper (needs new rear driver side bracket to clamp to bodywork), small dent/scratch on nearside door (see next post)
  • Small kerb mark to front wheel

Summary

If the car were mint condition throughout without the cat 'C' status I would be asking nearer £4500 but as it is cat 'c' and there is work to do to this car i'm asking £3200 for a nice, relatively original SWB Slicktop that drives great. Insurance through a classic policy comes out at £235 a year with mods declared for a 34 year old living in the midlands.

It's then up to the new owner if they want to spend the money and restore it back to mint condition and get the car straight on the front or as i've done just drive and enjoy it for what it is.

If it doesn't sell this time, then i'll do the work to get it straight and tidy up the scratches, realign the panels and put it up for sale for a higher price later this year.

The car will come with 12 MOT and be ready to drive away.

Truly sad to let it go but with no garage I can't keep it in good condition and i'm just not getting the chance to drive it any more

Car is priced to sell at

£3200

If i had the garage and the money it would be all one colour - i've just enjoyed driving it as a car and doing the bare minimum :)

Thinking cap is on!

C'mon, Daffy... sell a kidney or something.... :thumbup1:

I guess being a slicktop probably so, thanks mate. It's a good straight little car that'll last forever and for an affordable price.

No point asking silly money for it as i'd prefer for it to be out and about with it's new owner this summer rather than next - plus the longer i drive it the more i want to keep it now! :) haha

Weekly Bump - fresh MOT going on it before it goes. Two weeks till the insurance runs out so would be good to get it sold before I pay out another premium on it. Looks good shining away in the sun :)

I'm sure you do mate!

£3500 is what it's going in autotrader for, £3200 is a the price i'm offering it to 300zx.co.uk members so it would have to be much closer than that cheers buddy!

For that sort of money i'd rather put it back under the cover and mothball it.

I can get some for you buddy, i've had to bring the car in for its retest today so i'll grab some when I pick it up

Sorry buddy, it's been one hell of a weekend - the MOT station I took the zed to on friday for its retest didn't tell me that they'd lost their license last year and had been secretly been taking it to another MOT station the other side of derby while thrashing my car over there, burning out the tyres and using all my petrol up(!)

Not to mention them also leaving the car unlocked, windows down with the keys in the ignition(!)

NOT HAPPY

So eventually took the car to the mot station myself and completely forgot to get the photos when i finally arrived back at work 3 hours later.

Then to top it all the stagea's gearbox failed Sunday so haven't even thought about it till now.

I'll take a couple of proper photos tonight when i get back for you and post them up here.

Cheers mate!
