Am I correct in that I saw a post here recently where someone said the high pressure hose can be rebuilt if i take the old one to a hose specialist engineer type place?

If so, what specification hose would i require? If not, hey ho....I'll just buy a new one instead

Secondly, I've started the Zed up for the first time since Nov/Dec, and heard a loud (ish) tapping from the drivers side of the head/block area until the oil warmed up on idle as i recharged the battery...should I be worried, or is there something else I should be checking during the annual fluids and filters change? Thanks.

Yeah I've had mine rebuilt. Wasn't that expensive. The hydraulics company will work out what the spec needs to be from the old one.

As for the other issue, it could just be the oil had drained back and you should have primed the engine, pop the fuel relay out and turn it over get the oil flowing. See what it does on the next start up.

I had mine done at Purtek , the just had to use the original ends and it was a very reasonable £45 , that was a few years ago though. HTH

I saw the working pressure specs somewhere, can't remember where though....thinking of upping it significantly on remaking, hopefully will be a once only job for life of the car...

Hi Stephen where did you get your hose done, cheers raph

Hi mate, sorry only just seen this. It was done by Thread and Pipe on the Elliot road industrial estate. Which do you need? I have the hicas solenoid to ps pump one sat here. It was made about 12-18 months ago but I've done a hicas delete so it's redundant. If you need one you can have it.
