I have non turbo decat pipes pictured below, they are advertised by Japspeed as turbo or non turbo, so my question is, when i convert my zed to a TT will these match up to the standard turbo as they are or will i need something else?

Coming from a UK TT and will remove the precat too

They say in the 2fast2cool advert that manual and non precat only. But i still cant see how the same pipes will fit both lol

Sorry for hijack groover .question do they fit tt auto ?:gun_bandana:

Probably not, the ones pictured use an extra silencer, thats the issue even with the other ones they CAN catch on the box. Despite the quality being very good for the money they arnt faultless and may require some persuasion to fit. The other version requires the turbo elbow to be changed as well, as the mating flanges are very different.

Precat on the pass side Joel :thumbup1: I thought the flanges may differ so i will probably get my self some TT decat pipes and sell the NA ones :thumbup1:

cheers Stephen , does anyone actually know any decat that is bolt on to tt auto jap ?

It is stated in adverts that they are manual only mate :confused1:

They are covering their arse. As I say they can fit but the quality varies, so from batch to batch the pipes will line up better or worse. It's the nature of rolling tube unfortunately. Due to material properties and the way the tooling wears the settings used last month won't create the same effect this month. Tie in some Chinese style quality control and you have a degree of variability. Some fit and others catch on the box. With some persuading I'm sure they would fit but it's a chance you take.

Equally the added issue of the necessary turbo elbow change to use the unsilenced type open new and of worms. Will those bolts on the rear of the turbo undo or have 20+ years of heat cycling seized them nicely? Will the reduction in back pressure show up the fact that the rear seal is failing causing smoke as oil dribbles into the exhaust...I noticed a real gain by removing the cats, not just in loosing a rusty pair of tubes but in responsiveness. I did however open a flood gate. TBF though those issues were not the fault of the decat and some not even related but it highlighted those issues to what I was previously blind too.

Well I had an import NA auto........ Now converted to a TT and these fit both perfectly.....

They bolted up to the Turbo downpipes 3 bolt holes perfectly and had No issues.....

I got mine from Z centre in about 2001 - 2002....... They look exactly the same and clear everything and my exhaust has these, an H section and then 2 huge rear boxes....... it is loud.......

Hope this helps...... just my experience with these..... I always wondered why people say they don't fit an Auto or TT or UK spec......

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

Thats good to know Russ, as im doing the same as you and also got mine form Luke years ago.

I bought the 2fast2cool orignally and they fitted my NA auto with no problems, i sold them on to another member with an auto and he had to give them some persuasion, i guess it could be a variation also in the rest of the system, one slightly twisted pipe out by 20mm could probably be the difference between straight fit and a hammer lol

Like I say, covering thier ass. With the autoboxes extra girth, young Chinese tube bender, let call him Robert might mean the clash. If it was manual that extra 1" of space you would of never known Robert had a lazy Friday head on.
