Is this not the one that was on eBay about 6 months ago and looked like it had a LWB exhaust fitted to it...?

NA front bumper - that'll be boosting well then.

 

Looks tidy though, but what a load of tat stuck to it, the bonnet especially. I hope they have the original still as you'll find it near impossible to colour-match that pearl yellow.

Thanks but as the PH advert has photos with Spa Francorchamps 2014 stickers on the car I thought they might

have put a video on YouTube (spa 2014 300zx) and voilà Robert's your father's brother as they say!

Aside from the stickers which aren't everyones taste and only take 5 minutes to take off (and I could have taken them off before selling car) but Im an honest person

 

The bonnet came with the car as original is in the shed but something has fell on it and the bodyshop said it would cost more to repair than what its worth atm

 

This car wasn't on ebay 6 months ago as ive had it 2 years and loved every minute of it

 

It is defo a TT not NA

 

And yes in the video the car is not revving to high because I left the power button off as not to over rev the engine and carry on with my european road trip, didn't want to come back on a trailer

A track day in a twin-turbo'd car with NO airflow to the intercoolers? Hot charge going into the engine could well equal detonation!

I know how engines work mate, and Im not saying your wrong, but the cars been like that for years, if its such a big issue then the next owner can change it but Ive done 10k in the car with no issues, they can also fit the oem bonnet whilst there at it

The "Power" button in an Auto doesn't limit the boost levels - it changes when the autobox changes up a gear. So you can still make peak boost (or very close) with the Power button disengaged, even though the 'box will shift up a gear at lower revs.

 

Personally, I wouldn't want to be doing a track day without trying to maximise the cooling all round. That bumper will have been restricting your power delivery.

are you sure?? The overdrive button changes the gears not the power??? power button/AT button near gearshift.... when you press the power button the car revs right up the limit, the overdrrve button changes the gear at lower revs.

 

As on the video I had overdrive engaged so i didn't rev the engine up to the max.

Power button causes the gearbox to change down sooner or will hold onto gears longer. Or will allow the engine to rev harder BUT I found mine in normal mode would rev to almost the red line given a full throttle. (Hold makes the car move of in second and change up very early)

 

Overdrive (OD) turning that OF stops the car going into effectively 4th and so stays in 3rd (although technically they are a 3 speed + overdrive box) and so will stay at higher revs at a speed.

 

Power and OD have no affect on engine output just how the gearbox ECU behaves and when it changes gear etc.
