I've not had the joy of playing with a NA 300zx, so just want to check with those more used to the view. Are these as I suspect some dirty ass phase 1 TT injectors or phase 1 NA injectors.

Those are TT injectors judging by the color.

they fade from purple to grey to brown over time

NA injectors are red and can not be mistaken by TT injectors (unless you are color blind)

Well this just got more confusing. The lower plenum from the NA engine, has a 10Y lower plenum. But appears to have early spec turbo injectors, that shouldn't work should it? So confused now. Left is the 30p intake and right is the 10y intake.

TT injectors in a NA work and the engine will run, but it runs VERY rich (overfueling of near 40%)

Though you can have the NA ECU modified to make it run correctly on TT injectors.

No I mean psyically, can you actually fit an early fuel rail to a late head as that appears to be what's been done.

Man that engine has some corrosion, looks like a sal****er marine engine.

Now would be a good time to have the injectors serviced & something needs to be done about the green corrosion on the injector pins.

The green stuff has more than likely come from the injector wiring/connectors.

Chances are other connections such as coilpacks etc could be in a similar condition.

Yeah, the winter before last the engine got very damp without my knowledge, when spring came around that was what I was greeted with. The injectors have already been de greened, as I've got the whole lower intake off for the engine swap.
