OK. So who has met who off the forum? Can include suppliers (Z related) other halves included of Z owners, people who have owned Z's but have left the forum...whoever.

 

You can either list the people you've met face to face or even spotted but never said hi to. Like say at Billing last year I saw the SA a.k.a. Warren (300z) but never got the chance to say hi.

I nearly met the GRIM REAPER last night when I tried to take off in the Z over a hump-back bridge near me. There was some bloke in his clapped out cab trying to pull out and was half way into the road.

Didn't he know I was coming up on the other side at 100mph?

-some drivers are so careless.

Sorry I'm really terrible at remembering peoples names but in the last 3 years whilst owning the beast I have met/chatted to some of the nicest and friendliest people. I am not going to try and list names cos I would forget too many people but suffice is to say that I am glad that I have owned a 300.

The number of people I've met,well here goes......

I've only been a Z owner for a few months and the only meet I've been to was the one in Bracknell a few weeks ago.I managed to find 4 other Z's but no owners!(must have been happy hour in the pub.)

Technically incorrect Paul mate, I did turn up...as everyone else was leaving, however, we did get in for nothing at Billing and didn't get caught in traffic on the way out. As me, Macca and Kim, ChrisC and Jamie took time to have a few beers, a meal and then some crazy fun on the fairground rides. ;)

Great idea, I've always liked the idea of having a meet at a pub but doing it WITHOUT prior arrangement with the pub itself.

 

Probably not a very practical idea , but it would be bloody hilarious to see the look on their faces as their car park gets covered in zeds, and its not like many pubs would turn a large group of paying customers away is it?!!

So looks like I am winning then:D

Why don't we have a christmas meet at the pub where they had the Easter meet and Christmas meet last year. It is in Solihull, I think it was called The Boat. They have a large carpark and plenty of seating and the food is good.

 

It is also not far from the motorway, so people from north and south could quite easily get there.

 

Come on you lot decide what is happening before it gets too late.

 

P.S. Matty lives close to the pub, I think.

As a relative newbie, I haven't met as many of you as I'd like to (yet), but I have to say, enjoyed chatting to everyone I've met so far .... discerning people of taste and stlye :cool:

 

I know it's a bit off topic, but, Stuart -

I think we should definitely get another meeting going - possibly early next year if we can't find a free weekend in December.

 

Spoke to Steve Burns about this at the Classic Car Show - he suggested that we "surprise" Mike Feeney at the monthly SE Z meet:eek: that he organises for the Z-club's South Eastern group. This is held every month at the Halfway House near Brentwood at the A128/127 junction.

 

The next meeting is this Sunday (which I defo can't make) .. but there's one on January 5th - if you're up for it, let's get it posted up on events ...
