Hi all im new here my mate is building a 300zx drift car and has stripped as much off the car loom as possible and kept the important wires. He has given me the task to wire the indicators and hazzards off a toggle switch. As i dont have a wiring diagram if i was to sourse both front and rear indicator bulb feeds can i apple the below instructions? or does anyone have any ideas as to the best way to accomplish this? i have a three way toggle switch spare ( on-off-on) and a two way one ( on-off) Many Thanks:

Ah thanks for your reply so what does this mean? Also as I still have the OEM flasher unit and relays is this still possible? What would be your best approach to this? Thanks.

Well, the standard wiring only has one flasher unit and part of the job of the hazard switch is to decide whether to feed the flasher permanent power ( for hazards) or ignition switched power ( for indicators)

 

Being a drift car does it need to be road legal? If so you would need to fit a second flasher or change the hazard on toggle in your drawing to a double pole double throw toggle switch and use the second pole to feed appropriate power to the flasher

There is no specific bulb blown sensor in the sense that there is no extra circuits or control boxes. the (fairly standard) design of the flasher unit means that when the load drop ( blown bulb) if flashes faster

Nice one was just thinking of using existing loom and replace the existing switches with toggles that way everything is how it would be normally
