LOL - as you say Gaz - not all bad news....!!

JC's fate was, in all honesty, inevitable. There is most likely more to this than we'll ever know; the Beeb had (or at least be seen) to take action - and JC's contract was up at the end of the month anyway. Some say JC might have other plans for the future - all we know is that whilst their action seems appropriate to the real world, if someone really did thump a colleague, the BBC still stumbled to take such similar action with Jonathan Ross re the issue with Andrew Sachs' granddaughter. JC might be too right wing for the old Beeb, but the lesson is, don't feed a monster and then cry when it eventually bites you....

What riled me, was the news that North Yorks Police has requested the BBC's evidence surrounding the matter - like they might decide to pursue charges against JC. Sorry, but at this moment, according to all reports, there has been NO complaint from the alleged victim. I always thought that in such an incident, a "victim" had to first report it to the police - and then decide to press charges before a police investigation took place??? I guess there's not much crime in North Yorks, so PC Piglet is at risk of getting bored - and needs something to do or else he'll be out persecuting motorists..... Which would be a crime, since (off topic - and all credit to N Yorks Police here) I have found that county to be the best place in England for driving standards.....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

If the Police and the CPS feel there is a case to answer they can proceed. It is known as a "victimless prosecution".

Project 1547 - Out of the Blue

She's so fine, there's no tellin' where the money went - Simply irresistible.

Should we start a poll on whether Hammond and May will leave with him and start a new car show on Sky/Netflix/etc or Chris evans will agree to replace Clarkson on Top gear?

I know that Top gear will not be the same without Clarkson. I know that the BBC have shot themselves in the foot here by getting rid of him, but as you said, they didnt really have a choice. Its a shame really, that one of the best tv shows maybe have been ruined/cancelled (mostly through Clarksons doing if im honest!)

Wasn't Jonathon Ross fired from the BBC? Something to do with the waiter from Fawlty Towers? He came back to the BBC pretty quickly. Maybe Clarkson will be back in 18 months time... "This week on top gear, James drives a Ferrari slowly, Hammond crashes a go-kart and I sign a contract with the BBC"

1990 Black MT NA LWB = 2014 - 2020 (Sold)

1991 Red MT TT LWB = 2015 - 2017 (Stripped & Scrapped)

1989 Red AT TT LWB = 2021 - XXXX (Kept)

I think guy Martin will make a good replacement I like his program's ,he's on the list of replacements as well.

Ed china and mike brewer are taking it over and Richard Rawlings is the 3rd man and Arron is gonna be sitting there growing his beared and working out how to chop the cars up in the studio. Lol

Maybe Andrew, maybe. But my thoughts are a re-hash of the following words.....

....wagon jump band the on......

Just because the Beeb has made its decision, it does not automatically mean that JC "did it" Innocent until proven guilty and all that - and if the "victim" does not come forward, where is the evidence; and just what, in the absence of that thing called evidence (eg, testimony from, say, a victim), does the CPS actually have to go on?

I'm not condoning violence - or suggesting for a second that JC should be allowed to punch anyone at will; just as I would not expect to get away with it myself. But if you or I were to punch someone in a fit of rage in a pub car-park or the like; if the victim was happy to walk away and not press charges that would be the end of it. Matter closed. No pointless waste of (even more) public money.....

Hit the nail on the head there Rich and you would hope the Police and CPS would spend their time and money on the real crime thats out there.

Clarkson will be back in a while just like Wossy. Id like to see Guy Martin but he is (by his own volition) a real loose canon and not a TV type luvvy.

He likes going fast too..........he had 21 penalty points....mostly speeding and still managed to keep his licence!..(His insurance must've been chunky).

I cant really think of a replacement off the top of my head but it should be a right petrolhead with a strong character ....(jeremy Clarkson..or..Guy Martin)

its fake mate, sky news announced today that they wont employ anyone who was fired for assaulting a member of staff, no one should be put in the postition to be afraid in the work place they said

guy has really screwed up this time, im sure he will get work somewhere but may find it very hard
