I know many have smoothed off the original bobbly bits in the paintwork around the bottom of their Zeds.

 

I plan to do the same. Is it hard to do, am I going to need a sander, or will good old elbow grease be enough, or will that take forever?

Yes you will need a sander and I think some members used a heat gun and scraped it of.

Da sander will work well then filler primer and paint that's how I did mine

Sounds like a bigger job than I had thought. I think it will look way better, so worth it. Cheers :)

It may look better when you first do it but stones will have a higher chance of chipping the paint off

Top tips : do NOT use filler on the bumpers : sand the moulding out.

Do NOT take off all the stuff that's on the sides - it's stone chip, but you can smooth the high spots to give it a smooth appearance, just don't take it to the metal.

The stuff on the car is easy enough , but the bumpers are a crappy job and takes ages. I'm glad my front bumper had been done when I'd bought it so I only had the back one to do.

Hmm, I'm kinda thinking about leaving it now. If it ultimately going to look worse, is it really worth the effort?

Well, maybe I'll do the bumpers, and leave the actual car.

The bumpers are hard, the car takes no time at all.
