I've put off writing this thread for months,as nobody knows what to say to make me feel any better. There is nothing you really can say, but I know I have your support. As many as you know, I am having health problems. 3 years ago I was diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately, despite everybodies best efforts, the treatment has been unsuccessful and I am now terminal. Im not sure how much longer I've got, probably weeks, hopefully months but I will keep posting for as long as possible!!

You will be wondering what will happen to Zebedee as I am now too poorly to drive him. Well I have sold him to an active and respected member of the forum so he's not going to disappear!!

Knowing Mandy's sense of humor, she would piss herself if you blasted past the hearse full boost in zebedee

RIP Mandy your memory will live on

That's a lovely tribute Ian.

God Speed Mandy (in a Zed I expect) may your journeys be sweet and the drive enthusiastic! You will be missed but not forgotten.

Well today was and emotional one for sure but bathed in glorious sunshine Mandy got a fantastic send off. I spoke with Mandys mum and told her that people from all over the country sent their messages of condolence.

A number of people spoke to me of stories about Mandy and zebedee and thanked me for bringing the car. In all it was an honour to be involved as the car clearly meant a lot to many of Mandys friends and family just as it did to Mandy herself. Having re washed Zeb and spending an hour with the detail spray I made sure he was as well presented as he could be.

God bless you Mandy, sleep well.

I never met you to speak too, but the more I read, the more I come to realise just how well respected and valued a member of the club you were.

I don't have many regrets in life, but one of them is not having the courage to introduce myself at the Coventry meet, I wish I had.

My condolences to your family and friends.

been off line a bit,, just read all this from front to back.. omg.. so sad .,,thoughts go out to dave and the family.

That's really nice Ian!!!

It is indeed - Mandy would have been so proud......

RIP Mandy - it was a pleasure to have met you over the years. I am glad the sun shone for you today, it was indeed a most fitting tribute.......

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Rest in peace Mandy, my sincerest condolences to your family. May God bless you and keep you safe.

Richie

I am not my usual rambling self today. I just wanted to say thanks ian for being there and doing us the honour of being first in line after the limos. Also for having zeb looking stunning, i hate to think how much polishing you had done there. As we sat in the funeral limo at home getting ready to set off, i was thinking how good the limo sounded, then there was a throttle blip and i realised it was actually zebedee doing the talking. Mandy would have loved to have seen zeb there, though knowing her she would have had them in front of the limos. I havent got any decent words, i can hardly string sentences together today. So thank you to ian for yesterday, it meant a lot to both mine and mandys family, and thank you for the words you have all shared in here.

It was the least we could of done David and glad that Ian was there with Zebedee. Hope in the coming weeks and months life will get easier for you. :clover:

As Gary said it was the least I could do and it was not only an honour to be there but to be named in the service itself knocked me sideways for sure.

The number of people who asked about Zebedee was amazing the tales they told about their connection to Mandy and the car and their memories.

The service was lovely and a fitting tribute and great to learn some more about Mandy that I never knew, that smiling girl so quick to greet you with her friendly smile and manner, I will miss her a lot. As far as Zebedee goes, well he just had to be there and I would have bent space and time to make it happen.
