OMG...... I was watching that on Ebay........ Now that is optimistic, cheeky and opportunistic..... lol

Well at least if he does get that much he will be pushing up the prices of everyones Z......??

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

...for an auto!

I say go-for it...but he got a good, but respectable price for it originally considering its drivetrain - £15k is waaayyyyy optimistic.

No...when I said 'go for it', I meant 'he should go for it'! lol

When we were showing our cars at the NEC, a few people asked their values and thought they'd be closer to, if not more than £10k....perception is there to an extent.

What he said......

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I would be very surprised if he got that much you could buy a nice Porsche 911 for that and not have any depreciation.

2002 Porsche C2 996 3.6
1991 Nissan 300zx TT Project

1995 Nissan 300zx TT Crashed 🥲

1997 Jaguar XK8 Scraped ☹️

I would be very surprised if he got that much you could buy a nice Porsche 911 for that and not have any depreciation.

I had an old 911 with the nice whale tail..... Give me my Z any day......

Everyone looks at a Porsche 911 and see's ....... a Porsche 911....... people look at a Z and ask "What is that?".... (No Si..... not because of my bodykit!!!).......lol

They are not as easily recognisable to most people and turn heads more than a 911.........lol

Just look at how many different looking Z's there are just on this forum........ let alone all over the world....... From clean OEM, OEM+.... to the boy racer veilside..... wide body versions...... right up to the show winning "The Beast"....

Z's are getting rarer and the owners are looking after the remaining good examples with more and more proactive TLC......

Just look at some of the stunning examples on this forum, Australia, The US and Japan....... Once bitten by the Z bug..... You never get over it!!!

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

I wish I had the balls to charge £1200 just to trim the interior panels...!!!

I think you should put your prices up as well Si.....lol

Z's now worth £15000...... I recon you could charge £2000 - £4000 a trim........ lol

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

Thought I saw this before and I was right when I saw it on gumtree the guy must be delusional.

Supply & demand!

Keep ur Z clean & tidy who knows ?

I know my Z is the best £ for £ GT on the road IMO!

Jap cars get no praise from the likes of Clarkson et al!

Lots of other comments about this without being boring!

Actually, the 300zx is in Clarkson's Top 100 cars, a book that came out in the late 90s, he's also a HUGE fan of the NSX and has been pretty complimentary of the GT-R, not to mention the earlier Skylines he's driven both in Clarkson's 'Motorworld' when he was in Japan and subsequently the R33 and R34 on Top Gear.

Generally, high performance Japanese sports cars get a pretty decent welcome when they're on the TG.

.........and it if it was a watercooled 911 it would probably be as reliable as an old zed!

I hope he gets his £15k. As said before, these cars are on the up and the ripple effect on values does everyone a favour

Except for us poor sods still trying to buy a good 'un lol

I've just been reading through his Gumtree ad and I'm sure he's lifted most of the text straight from the eBay ad! Height of laziness!

So he wants to make about £8k profit for, frankly, pretty much no work whatsoever...? I'm all for a bit of industriousness, but this guy......

no one will pay 15k for that no chance. I wouldn't hand over 3k if am honest its ugly
