Agreed Gary, should be a fantastic season. Already booked my days off for the British GP.

I've been watching the testing news reports with interest. Hopefully it will be closer racing this season but Hamilton to win again would be great.

I'm still looking forward to F1 2015 and followed the testing religiously, but F1 is in a bad state and losing at least one maybe three teams before the start of the season is a poor indictment of where it is going......even the Silverstone ticket offers won't get me back there this year, but no doubt I will sadly waste another 20 weekends glued to every piece of coverage Sky can give me!, until I win the lottery that is, then I will go see them all in person. Lol

Mercedes will mug them all the first couple of races, But Daniel Ricciardo will catch up in his Red Bull Liana!! but it will be closer this year and give it until the European legs start and then watch the Macca fly!

Anyone know iff any new rules or mods are in for this season?

Engine development is restricted to a token system with an allowance against the upgrade of individual components. But they are now allowed to develop the engines through the season, rather than at homologation which is the end of February. Main design changes are around the nose and front bulkhead to ensure the main nose section at the front is only 50mm off the ground and reg's designed to stop the ugly (dodgy) looking appendages from last season.

There is also a small weight increase allowance so teams with the larger drivers (Button, Hulk) won't have to starve them before every race!!

Other than that its pretty well a development of last year, although first impressions of the cars in testing, suggest the engines have become louder and the cars a little more friendly to the eye.

I think we will see Lotus come on strong again during the season, but Williams, Mercedes and Ferrari will be quick out of the box. Don't expect much from McLaren initially, but if they have reliability and they haven't cocked up the Aero as in the last three seasons then that car could be very quick indeed, it looks superb from an aero point of view!

Are we running a competition this year?

Yes indeed mate!!

I'll take care of it again this season - and will be posting up the entry thread very soon!!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

^^^^^I have been in that very room myself......

.....Amazing place.....

Yep, same here. I had a tour of the whole complex thanks to my friends dad-in-law being the ex FD of McLaren cars!

The technology in the design and eco structure is astonishing, it's why you always know the F1 team will come back to the top again, Resources and Knowhow.

23 to go................

That's such a cool shot, taken this week during a McLaren filming day...I think McLaren are going to show their hand this week in the second test.
