I need your opinions on my na, i know the general consensus to the bgw is not good but for my zed was it right?

Since buying my slicktop the na is becoming less of a toy and more of a daily drive, so re thinking a few bits of it, spoil made sense as a trackday car imo. But now it's just adding drag, but having taken it off I'm not sure my zed looks right...

so should it stay or go? And what should it be replaced with if anything anything? ( pictures of suggestions please.)

Series 4 or 99 spec, or a low level aftermarket, retain a stockish feel which retains flow of the overall design but something a little more substantial than the 89 as that's quite subtle. A series 4 (horse shoe) IMO would be best. Best of all it will be a cheap option for that car.

Keep it on :thumbup1: you have the diffuser and the canards, keep the set. I hate to be anything but positive, but if you changed the bonnet and nose back to standard, I think the sharp triangular side profile you would get, from the high spoiler down to the canards, would look absolutely spot on mate.

imo, only shorties suit the smooth no spoiler look. LWB's look a bit ungainly without. A nice 99 spec or '89 would look far better. Again, just my opinion.

I think you should do what ever you think looks best mate.

Modified motors suit the needs and style of their owners and has nothing to do what other people think.

I know the general consensus is standard is best (thats my opinion too) but without people who want to be different, life would be boring.

Good luck with whatever you choose to do mate

I like that, and I have the original green spoiler ( that type I think) in my lockup...

Bonnet might have to go at some point as well, just broke one of the areocatches.... Opps

You can get new aero catches cheap enough, I don't think that bonnet adds anything anyway (aside from weight) IMO of corse.

Get rid of that monstrosity! :) ....as well as those canards....that do nothing. ;)

I'd say get a TwinZ rear wing like JoelyP or the stock raised one from that year.

Will go down my lockup in the week and get a few bits, then i can do some trial fitting next weekend.

You be pleased to know the Bee'R been disabled too, still fitted, but disabled until I have more time to remove it.

There's a time and place for (almost) everything but with Zeds "Less is More". Of course, track day / strip / show cars are special cases and in pursuit of performance, form follows function. I saw Bob's white shorty at Eurospec (it is Bob's, isn't it?) all specced up for action with that sort of spoiler. adjustable front splitter, tiny mirrors etc etc and it looked just right - it's that sort of car.

But if you're not using the green one as track anymore, then a lot of the bits are surplus as you already thought. For me, a factory style spoiler is the best (any variety) and most suited to the Zed. But my most recent one didn't have a spoiler and despite what I said, I don't think I'll be adding one. I've sort of got used to it now and when in doubt, I'll keep it as close to how it came out of the factory as poss. At least it's original.

Yeah I do like that zed,

Was only ever supposed to be a cheap bit of fun whilst my old tt was off the road, but it's earned it's place, so now it's time it was looked after, most ironic thing is its the cheapest car I ever bought, it's a zed, and it's the most reliable car i've ever owned....

Somwhere in there is a spoiler and a bonnet...

Keep forgetting how much I put in there, worrying thing is I never owned a white zed so no idea where the targa came from...

Don't remember buying the single exit exhuast either...?

If your going to have a spoiler, fit a proper one. Look at a Plymouth Superbird for Inspiration.

Fill the garage with all the stuff you strapped to your green Z! Sell that single system too! :D

Saw one of those - a bright yellow one - try to turn round at the end of the dual-carriageway opposite The County Arms in Wandsworth once. Took a 3 point turn haha.

They're so ugly. I never worked out why they've gained popularity. They're powerful, but bloody ugly - a bit like Evos (pre-Evo 7).

Give me a 69 SS converible any day of the week. :)

That's probably why I like them, big, ugly, ridiculous yet fast, first car to reach 200mph in nascar, I know their more or less the same but the daytona beats the roadrunner in my eyes.

Though I the camaro, particularly the ss is a great car.
