I now have everything I need to sort out the lighting for my side markers - are there any holes already in the boot floor for me to run my wires up to the loom on the rear lights, or am I gonna have to fire up a drilll...??

Tap off the supply voltage to your number plate lights. If you want them to come on with your sidelights/dipped beam that is.

Mine already had the loom there! I was lucky. All I needed were the markers themselves!

Is there an oem sidemarker that lights up? Or do you/ can you mod the non illuminated ones?

Nope. It was an option to have them and illuminates side markers are an OEM part.

So the current ones can't be modified?

Yeah just geta drill bit the same size as and indicator bulb holder and cut the keyways out. Bingo!

I was actually considering using the small bulb holders from a spare speedo cluster I've got.

Yeah or sidelight bulb holder as its a 501 bulb then and they are cheap as chips.
