Not too sure if this is a common problem. I haven't been using the car much lately but while its been very cold, I've noticed the inside of the front windscreen getting water/condensation/ice on it.

What I want to know is whether its just the it is or if there's anything I should check. For example if the window might not be sealed properly or if there's something else that could be causing it

Try eurocarparts as they have a sale on them at the moment......... got another email today....... lol

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

I don't use my Z very often but if u have that much condensation there must be a leak somewhere?

Getting something to mop the water up will help but not a fix of the problem.

Can't u get a half car cover that covers the roof & all windows, that might help?

Half covers are the devil, scratch everything because of the straps and high winds turn then into a paracute. Full cover is the way forward if you have to fit one.

Lil. I actually seems to be helping. Here's what it looked like earlier when I went out.

Really dry right where it was. So if I had 5 of these it'd be great. Will see how it is when I get home

the problem I found with condensation on the inner front window, is when it runs down under the dash and then under that carpet - and then sits there :(

Could the cause be a slight leak on the heater matrix, causing the carpet to get damp, then when it condensates, had nowhere to go but the inside of the windows, I had the luxury of an iced inside of the car the other day as well as outside! Hah

I can't find any water in the car on carpets etc. That being said, I don't get much in the way of hot air.

Hey,

I don't think the heater matrix leak is associated with no heating when is at the stage that seam is escaping and causing lots of condensation on the inside of the windscreen.

so as far as i know there are number of things that could be causing it...

the leaking matrix or pipes could be one of them.

just because you can't see any leaks doesn't mean there aren't there.. the water could easily be running under the carpet ... you would really need to lift the carpet up to check... door sill trim (and bits off).

is your water level going down at all?

it could also be water getting in to the the cabin via the roof and saturating the trims.. these in turn would cause a high moisture content in the cabin and then condense on the screens.

do a check on the taga drain holes.

or maybe water in the boot... check the wheel well...

good luck...

Water isn't going down at all mate. I think its more likely the be the targa and window seals. When I'm driving I can hear air so think it needs the window pulling in slightly, probably the common runner thing

So, was looking round the car following last night and noticed the door wasn't very flush which might explain the windows letting in in the above picture.

This was the best I could get it

If you look in the workshop manual, it shows you how to adjust the window inwards
