I've got twin Bailey dv26 dump valves fitted to my car and are located where the original recirculating dump valve's used to be but for some reason they are quite does any one have an answer why? Or know how to make them a little bit louder.

I'm guessing they just seem quiet to you because of where they are mate. People outside the car and mainly in front, probably think they're fairly loud.

si dont know jack

So are you telling me that they add performance and responsiveness? I know more than you it would seem!

The ONLY 'blow off valve' worth having is one's own anus! :wack:

HKS SSQV in recirc configuration is probably the best solution from a performance point of view if you must have them. I personally prefer none at all.

No goosehonk. I believe the sprig is stronger which would make them more like newer recircs. I'm sure someone else will have a better explanation but these are very popular

Are you running no recircs or bovs Noel?

How the GHK works is described here:

how the stock recircs work and why you get goose honk is described here:

I have the GHK fitted and it works fine.

Noz do you not find it slower on faster shifting? My swb had nothing sounded nice, seemed to bog down, now with hks bovs, ( couldn't find my recircs...) it's actually quicker.. Well in my opinion, would have been just as quick with recircs.

Where were they situated though?

Hi, they are at the front underneath the front nose panel, I know the dump valves are in full working order as I tried both of them on my rs turbo and its a louder sound effect compare to the zed

Question. What psi do your rs turbo and zed run at? Just thinking how the noise increases with the amount I'm boosting on mine, so if you were trying to vent more higher pressure air through one single bov it's going to be louder than two at a lower pressure. Possibly.

My reply would be similar to Stephens. I'm guessing the rs boosts sooner too so if you're testing them you'll probably here more from the rs then the zed

My Rs turbo was running from standard 7psi to 14psi now but even when my Rs turbo was running standard boast it was still fairly loud and sounds so much better than the zed, my zed is set at 12psi with boost jets which was done by Jeff at Zedworld

Try running a single BOV on the Zed and see if that sounds the same.
