What does a worn prop do?

Stock props are heavier than a single piece prop, in addition, you do away with the joint AND bearing which can cause vibration when worn.

I sometimes get a weird noise when I'm in too high a gear so was wondering if it could have been anything to do with a worn prop or owt. I remember the noise on my old zed too so think its fairly common but don't know how to describe it

I have all the rare bits you can't find :tongue:

If it's a noise, it's probably a lay-shaft bearing in the gearbox rather than a worn prop. You tend only to get vibration with a worn propshaft bearing (it's generally the rubber support that fails) or the gearbox mount.

When fitting a one piece fit a new gearbox mount too. False economy not to and makes a HUGE difference.
