Watching various news thread and videos today the madness that has spread across the UK

is like the start of an Apocalypse.

I seen a clip of stores in Blackpool and Closer to home in Irvine where there were riots of people

fighting over a cheap 32" tv in a fashion of 'this is the last tv on earth and its mine', lol

I'm just glad folks over in the uk don't have guns as heard someone got shot over a tv in the states.

It's all over the news mate. I think it's a terrible idea to bring it over here. People have died in the States at these sales. Just smacks of greed over responsibility to me.

The Jeremy Kyle crowds need a good culling anyway

The rest of us have been to busy doing that "work" thing to be cocking about saving a few quid. The majourity of sales are just marketing scams in reality.

complete load of bull crap, i was planning on getting a new fridge freezer and washer from currys or co op. i waited a few days to see if they knocked any cash off today but all they have done is add an extra £100 onto the price then put a percentage off for today only so i've saved about a tenner. the companies are a disgrace causing all this havoc and putting people in danger under false pretenses

if you fall for this crap and run out shopping then you are a total fool should be called knob head friday

This is the first year I have seen it happen over here and I cant see what the big fuss is about. I would say the items you buy now will be cheaper in the New Year sales.

I agree mate.....

.....And what made me laugh about the whole thing was, on the radio in the days leading up to Friday, there were loads of references, promotions "Black Friday this, Black Friday that" etc.... And then on the day, the very same radio station was reporting on the carnage; lambasting the retailers and saying that [the retailers] should have behaved more responsibly etc etc...

What? Pot, kettle, black comes to mind - without the media frenzy beforehand, I doubt the furore would have been half as bad. Fooking press; radio, papers, interweb and TV - they are as equally to blame as the retailers IMO...

Another stupid American tradition in danger of taking hold over here... Toss the public a fish and watch them clap like trained seals....:nono:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

We had people queuing outside our asda when I started work and I got there at 3.30am it didn't launch until 8!!! Sad fookers!! But in all fairness our customers were very well behaved and there were no arguments, pushing or shoving and our store is surrounded by JK rejects lol

That's because it was benefit day and time to sign on again......... then they were all down the local off-licence for their Black friday deals....... 4 Special brew for £2.50

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!
