h i guys iam going to be removing these leaking pipes this weekend and iam thinking of upgrading to an ali rad. just need to know can i still use the stock top mounts or will i have to modifiey them as i had to when i fitted one to my gto.

Stock mounts won't fit, you can modify them but as they are they don't fit. AlanZ on here used to make aliminium rad brackets.

Yeah that's right, the bottom is like locating pins.

thanks guys yes stepen mine is a manual. the top plate looks real nice peice. so that me done iam converted.

I only ask because the stock auto rad incorporates a transmission cooler, the aftermarket rad doesn't include this so provision for it is required.

You may find the top soft pipe needs trimming to accommodate the thicker rad. It's a good time to replace the rad hoses.

These are worth changing while your there cheap as chips and common failure spot eliminated.
