I was on the GTR owners club looking for Brembo brakes that might constitute an upgrade when I came across a set of R35 Brembos F+R for sale. The seller advises that they were fitted to an R33GTR with an adaptor kit.

So I was wondering if that same kit would make them a straight fit to my Z32 ? Assuming that they would be presents me with the problem of wheel size....I'm guessing I would need 20's (maybe a set of an R35) ?

This is all just in the planning stage at the moment but all and any thoughts would be welcome. I don't think I've ever seen a Z32 wearing 20's but has anyone seen one?

Cheers

Mark

IMO 20" wheels are just too big for the 300zx, even 19" wheels can look too big depending on the style.

I was actually just looking at my Z the other day, thinking 18" are right on the limit for proportion, but I have a SWB version.

Then there is ride quality, you'd have to fit rubber bands for tyres to maintain the correct rolling radius for the speedo etc.

The R35 brakes whilst unquestionable excellent are probably totally unnecessary, of course if they fit under a 19" fair enough, why not!

I'd be tempted to look at the 370Z brakes, apparently they'll fit under some 18" wheels, but probably only a few types, but they are supposed to be a massive improvement, the caliper and discs are huge and look at the price! Bargain even new!

they'll fit under most 19's. Beware the disc/caliper offset though as that may push your wheel out out too much to clear the calipers. Again depends on the wheel design. FYI some 18's will fit too ;)

Thanks guys......the 370z Akebonos were the third option. I've been toying with this for a while and leaning towards a Nissan factory product for a relatively OEM feel about it.
