Is this possible and where would I get replacement glass from? I have mint condition tailgate with blended lip spoiler that is being ruined by my poor glass. Want to change all over to blue tint UK spec. What about replacement moulding?

Mark Derby is breaking a UK Z which has blue glass. The moulding can be bought new still, however I am not sure whether you can still get it here through MJP. If he can't get it from euro or Japanese stock, you'll have to go to the US to get it.

 

You really need a specialist to remove and refit the tailgate and quarter window glass. I've removed quarter window glass and door glass and it's not too bad. In fact removing and refitting door glass is one of the easiest jobs to do on the Z! Remember to replace the runners on the door glass. You have to get that from the US as they're now NLS in Japan and Europe.

 

As for the windscreen, just buy a new one.

 

I swapped all my glass for blue tint glass. Makes a massive difference.

Thanks for the tip on the door runners. I have door glass already and a screen, though I may just a get a new one as it has a small crack when I removed it and I can only see it running. I want to delete the rear wiper, even more obselte than my front ones like yours! .There is bit of spray work to be done so I wonder if it may be simpler to get a replacement UK tailgate and start over. Just need to sort the quarter glass then.

New windscreens are about £150 fitted from National Windscreens. :)

 

I'd stick with your current tailgate personally. Most UK cars are being broken for corrosion and the tailgates suffer badly.
