The Great Southern joint-area 300zx Christmas party! (Dec 14th - PM)

Stephen and I have been discussing this behind closed doors and we're going to go for a tri-area Christmas party (other areas most welcome).

We've decided that Winchester is the best place to hold this (seemingly central to SW, C and SE regions) and the fact that it's actually a really nice city, so a nice place to bring the family for the day.

We have yet to decide on a host pub/restaurant, but the sooner we can get names together, the sooner we can get an idea on numbers!

Obviously myself and Steve are going to be going, I've spoken with Jimmer and he's hoping to go also.

Unfortunately not; it's with regret following discussions with Stephen that we are cancelling tomorrow's lunch meet. A combination of a high amount of people pulling out and a perceived horrendous forecast has led to this decision.

We are sorry, but promise that we'll have some bigger and better meets planned for the new year.

I hope you'll understand out decision, it's not one we've taken lightly either!

If any of you have any comments or questions, please feel free to contact either Stephen or myself.

That's a shame Simon, just filled the car up with some of shells finest V power, already looking forward to next year, as we had some cracking meetings this year and we need to keep that going.

cheers Paul

We will will mate. I think this time of year is a tough one for a lot of people.

it is a real shame this had to be cancelled - but I can understand why....

...In fact I went onto the "maybe" list myself yesterday as I seem to have twisted something in my lower back whilst improperly lifting a large/heavy box the other day. It's getting better, quite quickly to be fair, but I would seriously have to think about sitting in the car for 1 - 1.5 hours each way. I don't want to be laid up for Christmas!!

But with the potential for bad weather - and a lot of people not using their Zeds this time of year - any event planned for December is always going to be subject to last minute cancellation.

There will indeed be more events planned in this region for next year; with Simon and Steve on the case as REOs it's a given...

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Gutted, weather this end(Portsmouth) today is lush, under the bonnet time...

Was looking forward to putting faces to names and picking brains :-(

Lunch would've been a bonus lol

We'll organise something for the New Year. Probably early Easter, if not before! :)

Always sad to see events being cancelled.

But at least people I formed you before the event Si so you could cancel.

Much better than having only a couple of people showing up when you have a table for 20 booked.

Zed #1: 1995 Blue Slicktop NA (2013-2015)

It is a real pain, I myself and I know others too were looking forward to this. Unfortunately as Richard said it can go wrong quickly this time of year. It's a busy period and the weather can be a touch um trying at times. Personally I've away all week and am on call next weekend so my ability to finish the bathroom before Xmas has taken a beat delay wise, it's snorting I really need done. Amongst other factors.

Looking on the bright side though the initial response was good and this is an encouraging sign. Myself and Simon are already starting to plan the car based events that March will bring, which is genuinely not far away scarily. Rest assured discussions between the REOs will be seeing you lot spoilt for choice this spring/summer.

Despite being lovely and sunny here now this morning was bitter. Frost on the inside of the windows of the car this morning. Again many apologies.

Whats the bad weather thats forecast?

Forcast i saw Looks nicer tommorow than today, which was &@£? Cold working on the car

It wasn't the reason Ian, we've got a high lack of numbers for this. Forecast also didn't help. However I haven't checked it this avo.
