My brother bought a 1998 S14a 200sx last week but fuel pump is ***ked.

Does anybody here know if the promera fuel pump fits the 200 sx.

Third party garages have said all nissan fuel pump are the same

Is this correct???

Dont know if thats true, but why reinvent the wheel. If a pump from a Premiera is good enough for a SX why design another one.

However I dont think you can put a Micra one in a SX because of the fuel flow.

Quanity of fuel flow shouldn't really be an issue on 'domestic' fuel pumps for injection systems. The actual quantities of fuel are tiny in all cases. The important thing is that the pressure supplied needs to be in a range which the regulator can deal with i.e. above the pressure required by the injectors but not so high that the regulator explodes. The only other issue is the length & internal diameter of the fuel pipe from the pump to the regulator as long lengths and small diameters will be harder work.

Sorry - just bored at work !

No it's bollox, they are not all the same, no where near.

try http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/index.php adn post in the S14 technical section.

Some primera's have the same engine as the S14, but are not turbo'd so prolly not the same pump, I got a Zed pump in my S13 cos it pumps 3 times the volume of fuel as the std S13 one.

If he want to jsut replace it with a std one there will be second hand ones for sale on the forum, he just needs to ask.

Most people upgrade them anyway.

I recently upgraded my fuel pump on my S14 (dont think they are different from the "a")

Mail me at Stuart.mcmaster@marconi.com if your interested :)

......... or as Jezz suggested, pop over to the SXOC BB, there should be a fair few available due to upgrades :)
