There was I, going round a roundabout, you know, those large ones where you can set the front wheels and just power round, except this time the car decides to have a 4 wheel aquaplane, rear wheels drifting one way and the front pointing another. Should have seen the look on the face on the woman in her Micra waiting to come on the r/bout who I am now sliding towards... luckily the water runs out and tarmac comes to the rescue, grip returns and I power up my exit.. Zed 1 - Weather 0

I wouldn't drive mines in the wet either only time be out in rain is if i got caught in a shower had some interesting experiences with my first one in the wet, There best kept for arm days roof off, but good save the woman in the micra would a had a different face if you'd have been heading towards her ;)

It's not drifting... It's crashing with style...

My na goes out in all weather, always an eventful drive when the conditions worsen, but love every minute of it

I was fresh in to my Zed experience when I got caught out in a shower, corner transition heading to the motorway turned in to a full opposite lock and balancing the throttle until she straightened up!, no kick no break away, it was completely controlled............nearly S**t myself. LOL!

Glad you got away with it Rev1Richie.

My mantra in the wet is if that boost needle goes higher than 0 the twins wake up and thats BAD. i usually turn the boost controller down and just bimble along

**** the wet I used the ride my Honda fire blade in the wet and my lotus that hated the wet road but still used to have fun in it hate garage queen car drive it

When I got my z I noticed how lively the back was in tbe wet it scared the hell out of me after the experiance I had in my old mr2. I went along a straight country lane at 60 when it was mildly damp, hit a groove in the road nothing more and the rear link arm snapped and sent me to a ditch. I managed to stop it going in the ditch and got it facing the other way without enough road to get the thing pointing in the direction I needed it. It went through a tree and rolled three times and landed on the roof. Thats where I learned the reason they got the nickname widow maker

Garage Queens reign longer :)

but they miss out on all the funny I was like that when I had the Porsche but now I have the z its just for thrashing round nothing else :thumbup1:

I have had all the fun in a Ford Capri now there was a car with a light back end lol.

Did anyone catch the funny side of my first post?

Totally agree! You can use all the power in the dry and don't have to worry about it....plus it keeps the underside clean/dry and thus, rust-free! :)

yes in snow is ace in am empty car park a 2 am loads of fun hate hate it when people keep them locked away like the crown jewels get it out and drive it that's why you have it . my mate is doing up a mk 1 capri at the mo. but if I have the chance I would have mk 1 escort with a engine from a cosworth maybe one hay

Screw that!

I put winter tyres on my DD for that reason!

My car gets driven a LOT thanks. I don't like driving in adverse weather conditions unless I have to. I'll also rest easy knowing my rather old car won't succumb to the ravages of corrosion!
