Going to surrey rolling road tomorrow with adl racing,

It's my new swb, that I'm taking,

13psi, fmic, z1 pg exhuast, chipped, afpr, decat, induction kit,

So let's have some guesses I'd like 340+bhp but will have to see

Generic chip? If so 345bhp sorry bud, that seems to be about average on those chips, from what I've seen anyways. A good chip and some more boost say 16psi might net you 365 something just short of 370.

No they just moved, they're in Farnborough now, not been to their new site yet,

It's more to get a before figure so I can start to play with it.

A good chip is still a generic chip. If it's a JDM timing map, 387bhp. If it's the usual JWT, 361bhp. Random figures, mind

16psi on a solid set up & healthy system will achieve a lot more than 365bhp.

Dont waste your money. get your arse down to noel and get it mapped properly, should see you around 400hp and more importantly it will be running 100% :)

So Hampshire rolling road then! Lol!

Ïd say with my fountain of knowledge, 368!

Good luck with it Ash, should be fun.

Yeah of corse, there's some that are better than others though aren't there. Some are pretty shocking are they not?

From other people's cars on those generic chips that's the kinda numbers you seem to see. Last rr day I was at the stock turbo chipped 13 psi cars on average were making pretty even 340ish fwhp. I've known people to make 370 etc with higher boost if they have been able to on generic chips.

Don't forget Noel it wasn't until you came along the UK z scene was adamant that stock injectors and turbos was only good for a max of 370, you've demolished that now thankfully. However those old chipped ecus don't yeild the same results, a testament to your craft if nothing else.

Generic chip, 13 psi my money is on 340 ish hp from previous cars I've seen dyno'd and reports on here over the years.

Which is why mines coming to you when I can afford to, once I have an engine with 6 cylinders that make compression lol.

361. Send cheque in the post.

Thanks

I think you'll find I have already claimed that figure :tt2:

Well we're all wrong....

... It's a pile of poo... 292.4 bhp...!!!

Afr of 10.2 so majorly rich, as boost built,

Profec b ebc played up only boost to 0.6bar even though it had atleast 1 bar all the way there, did it to me a few times on the way back too.

So now the "good " zed needs to be put right again.

Assume the chips at fault for the fueling, but no idea what's wrong with the boost controller...

Manual boost controller, remap, 400bhp.

Job done

Manual boost controller? Thought everyone preferred electronic ones,

If that's the case, I won't bother with another ebc, are there any good manual ones you recommend noel? I'll be getting you to map it, now I've 2 zeds you can have one up there without any rush for it back.

Is the knock sensor attached? Boost solenoids in place & connected?

I worked with a car that would only boost to around 0.6bar with a Profec fitted due to the car being in safety mode (faulty knock sensor loom). Profec B Spec 2 are great, my favourite EBC.

Edit to add: In your case, as it does in fact boost to 1 bar, it may be that the knock sensor is picking up detonation.

O2 sensors are dead by the look of it not doing any thing, but no knock or boost solenoids,

It's odd, boosts the 13psi some times but it did it too me a couple of time on the return leg, just stopped boosting at 0.6, then back to 13 on the next right foot moment

Maybe your profex is playing up? If it's been re plumbed and the restrictor removed with the boost solenoid assembly, if the profex failed to change the restriction it maybe failed open, it's only an electronic solenoid that opens to variable degrees of your only achieving Wastegate pressure, merely me speculating but maybe an expert could clarify wether that's a possibility.

Profec is controlling the boost, you can tell from the low-amplitude sin wave response of the boost graph from 4400rpm to 5600rpm.

Fuelling is appalling. Torque is down on standard. Can't make any assumptions about the timing or other mapping parameters without analysing the chip.

Maybe it is faulty. I've never had issues with them though.

What are the settings? Go through them and post the values in order.

Only other explanation (without looking further afield than boost controller and assoc. wiring/vac lines) is the car being in safety mode and with the boost solenoids being open.

Other than that, it needs investigating/logging to determine what exactly is happening. The richness & low boost indicate safety mode.
