Did mine on the first Z, chap told me to keep engine running & would not take resposibility of engine!

I would run engine a short while to warm up switch off to see if water evaporates!

Might have to do it several times though!

I would recommend you didn't do it to start with. On an old school engine it can be fine but when you start with an engine with electronic sensors all over it it's a bad idea. You wouldn't throw the microwave in the dishwasher sort if thing.

If, if I got soaking under there. I would let it dry naturally, then start checking connections, for any left over fluid and corrosion on connections. Once statisfied it was all dry, you could fire it up and gingerly check that each cylinder fires correctly etc and preferably check sensors with conzult or similar.

In short keep the jet washer away from the zed engine.

Doh!

That seems better to do!

Your right about keeping jet washes away from Z engine!

Yep as Steve said, never use a jet wash on the engine, let it dry naturally then give a liberal spray of WD40 over the connectors.

I sprayed WD40 on all connectors, left engine running, and then jet washed, I used a high pressure airline to blow everything out and it was ok. I also did it to a V12 Jag and it didn't run right again for a week!

For future reference, the VG30DETT is possibly the worst candidate (along with the Jag V12) to be introduced to a stream of high-pressure water

Now you know where the term "electrical gremlins" comes from.

Technically Mogwai, but you get the idea.
