As another September 11th comes and goes haste we forget the events of 2001.

Can't believe it's 13 years ago now. RIP the good people of 9-11

I was approaching Miami on a boat when the news broke. Arrived in Newark about 6 days after, I have vivid memories of sailing past Manhattan and it just been a big cloud of dust still.

 

Flying to Geneva today, which is now statically the safest day to fly.

I was working on an MOD research base and we were on lockdown for a few hours. Every car going in and out was searched. I ended up leaving mid afternoon as I couldn't work. I'd JUST come back from the east coast of the US too (within a few weeks), so it really shook me up!

It's been almost 20 years since the sinking of Estonia too! 28th of September 1994....can you believe it?
