so you can set it so it just looks good when revving and also for safety at high revs. how much damage you looking at it causing because it'll be sending a flame through your open valves etc surely?

When I was a teenager.... Hell yeah!!

Now I have a family and couldn't afford new engine or turbo's...... I will leave it and go another route for flame throwing exhausts...... Gas bottle, Gas injectors in exhaust pipes and ignition system on switch.....lol

Just for you spin.....

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

They are supposed to be so that when driving hard esp in the upper rpm as a common condition when drifting, you don't force a dangerously lean situation. You will find this version of rev limiter in many track and high end sports cars, those photos of race cars spitting flames..it can also be used for launch control a type of antilag allowing you to build spool at a preset level ready to launch. So there sent jay for fun

They are generally used by people to make fireballs and noise at carshows, which is a bit gay. Spitting flames at 7k to rpmis a but different to making a public nuisance of yourself anding like a chav.

I do want one but I won't be using it to delight my facebook friends or the ncDs crowd , I will be using it to giggle to myself as the road lights up behind me as I boot it out if some A road left hander.

I doubt a fireball is any hotter than the EGT in any event.

Sitting here giggling, imagining some idiot tailgating and a 60 foot fireball engulfing their suped up vauxhall corsa....... lol

when i was a teenager a couldnt afford to do this, now i have a family and three kids and im going to get old descrasfully and knowing my kids think im just a kid at heart to as well. that said, we have a sensable family car, but this is my toy, my intrest and secound love. oh and those flames just a tad two big for me ,after all i am 45, but that said i can have small ones.lol

Wow, I always thought these were a little pointless too, but if that's really what they do.....hell, I'd rather hammer a masonry nail through my scrotum!

si are you going to make a vid of this for youtube as i'm sure you will get plenty of hits Jackass eat your heart out haha

They have 2 settings, first is max, on mine it's set to 7000, other is switch able either by a switch or clutch pedal switch on handbrake switch, mines set to 3500 on handbrake,

They are have there uses, and certainly more fun then castration by masonry hammer

why the hand brake?

Handbrake it acts like launch control, limiting the revs till you release it,

Clutch you can do full throttle gear changes apparently

I've never seen it flame from inside, just the look on the car behinds face.

I will say, when I first fitted it, the novelty hadn't worn off used it alot, did notice a few degrees increase in engine Temps with the prolonged use,

Iv got one it's only a bit of fun marks fault as I see his but kills your cats if you got them on if used a lot

That's great lol,

now if my car had come with these I would have left them though could imagine with your flames u now have deep fried kitty lol

Now that is one way to sort out a tailgater........ and ........... meeeeeeeeooooooowwwwwwwww

the longer this thread goes on the more i am being persuaded to make it one of my mods. Saying that though i was looking to get a sports exhause and that would include a very expensive sport cat whilst keeping it legal. the bee r would kill that cat.

so to sum things up, driving normally cops would see the difference but say they did see it flame what would be the result?

also if pulled and the cars gets checked and i have a decat on what is expected there too?

understanding the decat would make my car not road legal and the Bee R cook my cat; is there another option to get a flame?

spark plug fitted to exhaust etc?

Look all of this up!

I think 94 onwards you need a cat.

I think its a fine & VOSA issue not a police & points issue being found without a cat.

It will only flame when you make it do it, it won't be 'more firey generally' it will crackle when you hit the limiter, or a lowered limit you've set up on the BeeR.

Spark plug in the exhaust  Go and play with a kitchen hob if that's your idea of fun, 'tik-tik-tik whumph' It will burn your back bumper doing it that way.

I would like one because I thought it was a bit safer for your engine, if it isn't then I'm not bothered about one, but I thought Z32 Bolt sounded sensible when he said, "it's not gona burn your valves out, because it's bloody hot in your cylinders during normal operation!"or something similar, and extending that logic, your turbo should be OK too. A cat I can see how that may be affected, there will be different chemical compounds going through it and they are after all, a catalyst, so temperature aside, that may knacker them.

Lamborghini flame out the factory, as long as it's not excessive,

I got pulled by an unmarked car a while ago, they asked me if I knew it flamed, they had a nosey over the car and went off sulking as my zed's 100% legal, even the canards...

Thing is with these cars, most are grey imports so the milage is open to debate, the orgial spec being a non du specifyed car is open to debate and the accuracy of the registration is often off. There's cars in this club with Nissan primera on the v5many simple Nissan sports etc, cars on 05 plates the list goes on. So prove than this supposed 1995 car is and is not a 1991 car officer/mot tester etc etc.its all debatable. The likely hood of someone say ii your old carvdoesnt hand cats and investigating wether it is supi to esp when you turn around and say the v5 is wring it wasc filled out wrong on import, seecwhere I'm going with this? Prove beyond reasonable doubt the car is legitame.

The beerev for me it's just a bit of fun and use it once in a blue moon as my grandson like it sounds like a shotgun going off iv got cats on as mine a n/a with twin hks mod exhaust and sounds deep but with out the cats on it wood be obnoxious loud
