Did mine twice last week (used an old set with H3 bulbs and then put a new set with H3C bulbs in) and the longest time was spent locating the box. I think end to end it took 20 minutes.

Looks good. I need to do mine, intersted to see how you get on with them

Is that the lenses Andrew?

Is it best done with a stick & alcohol wipes?

Yes, this is the method I used:

It makes an amazing difference and avoids having to split the headlights. You can also clean the rear of

the projector lens using the same technique.

Didn't quite get the diagrams Andrew! But the write up is superb:lol:

Cheers mate - though they are just ebay jobs as well I see. Hard to tell them apart so not sure I want to go with the same tbh...

Vig, will they not replace them under warranty??

Chinese seller on ebay mate. I'm sure they will but I already changed a bulb with them and kind of want to just get a decent product rather than keep switching out parts

I've always found the Chinese sellers to be very helpfull as they seem to want their customers to be happy and recommend them. Have both sides stopped?

I have the same VIP hid kit after only 2 weeks one bulb was slow to come on and started to flicker upon turning on think ballast packs are not of great quality so might be worth buying 2 sets for spares or just buy a more expensive kit .

I agree with that entirely, always no quibble, i have just bought 6 x H3C HID bulbs and was given a good price initially for a pair, i then decided i might as well buy a few more so made a fair offer and the seller was happy, so they're on their way.

you must have just been unlucky, ive only replaced one bulb in 3 years iirc.

I also agree with Mr. Groover although i do believe some sellers or back street manufacturers (i've been to HK btw!!) put on 55w stickers on 35w ballasts, so of course selling as 55w units. I have had the odd failure but at roughly a tenner for a pair of ballasts and £6.00 for a pair of bulbs delivered i don't loose sleep over it.

Of course in an ideal world you want to pay £50.00 a kit and have it last many many years and be bombproof but for that £50.00 you can buy lots of replacement parts and there's no guarantee, a still Chinese made £50.00 HID kit is going to have longevity.
