if you loosen or take out the middle light section (much easier since there's no goo) it will make putting the lights back in much easier .. :)

Will do! :thumbup1:

Rain stops play!!!!

Only a shower like NOT!

Have the tail lights inserts been chrome sprayed - they look to have been ?

You now need your reverse light panel 99 speccing up and to light up red :thumbup1:.

And why we're at it ripping you to pieces, consider removing that fog light and instead use your offside reverse light chamber with a 21w red bulb - you can just swap over some wiring and revert back to 2 x white lights if you prefer for the other 364 days.

Actually that is UK sized. It's UK-square. You ideally want one cut to your spec. I got mine from http://www.fancyplates.com, very good quality.

The perspex strip can be bought brand new from MJP. Think they're about £80 from memory (with brakelight) As new, they are black, but fade over time.

I think phutumusch is doing the decals now, but they're chrome rather than the satin silver OEM ones. Whatever floats ya boat with those I guess and the wiper, the standard parked position is vertical. My rear wiper has now gone however, the photo I posted is about 7 years old.

Thanks for that info.

Also found that plugging in the rear lights my indicaters flash too quick!

No Si,

Is it due to the bulbs been LED's?

If so what resisters do I need to fit before I put it all back together.

Just ordered the black strip with brake light from Mike.:thumbup1:

Are yours LED bulbs? TBH, unless you're doing a full LED conversion on them, I'd just use conventional bulbs. The light dispersal is far more favourable and you won't have to mess about with fitting resistors.

resisters, Done ordered!

Si what bulbs are used & how many? till I get the resisters. If ok, Ill pass on the resisters

I could check but in clinic now!

Brake light/tail light bulbs are 380 or 382. I forget which is which. Indicators are like a 581. I can't remember whether the Z has offset pins or not. I think they're offset.

The indicator bulb is offset type only in the genuine 99's all the others are the same throughout the years.

Personally i'd of just got a fast flash indicator relay but Si is correct on the tails, they were designed for filament and i have never found much better, the down side is they do get incredibly warm especially if you sit there with your brake on for minutes and this can lead to the bubbling of the inside white paint finish immediately around the bulb, although they're rare and i've got them in mine there are some metal heat/reflectors in some units and can be easily migrated from unit to unit but it's getting hold of them !!

Hi guys! Just did what Si suggested & put the bulbs in from my rear lights that I've just taken off & hay! Ho!

They work normally! & be said really no difference !
