HI All,

 

A car that i have wanted for a very long time has recently come up for sale.

 

Due to this, I'm currently selling all my cars to raise the funds. I have already sold my Pontiac Trans Am KITT replica this week and am now also selling my Zed and my Prelude.

I'm not looking to make a profit on this car, just get back what i paid and the money i have spent so far. It stands me at about £2000 to date. I have put the Classified ad price on eBay at £2300 as people always try to offer less but if it was going to a club member i'd let it go for £2000 to get my money back.

 

I've listed it as honestly as i can and i think the first genuine person to see the car will snap it up.

I like vettes but they are exclusively LHD arn't they? The early stringray ones are beautiful as are some of te recent ones, thew a funny middle age though like most American cars that isn't, mustangs went through a seriously ugly stage.

Got £7500 for it. Was actually offered more by several people after I took the deposit but I'm a man of my word so sold it to the first person who viewed.

I have a 5th gen prelude at the minute.

I know. I hate to sell it but can't afford to keep them both. It's the most honest Zed you'll find. I've actually listed the issues that the car has. Most people don't bother and you find out when you go to view them. I went to see 3 before buying the yellow one and they all had issues that weren't mentioned, like an oil leak on the black one and underside rust on the white one (as well as a leaky roof).

 

I didn't want to let the vette slip through my fingers so needed to act fast, i ended up putting some of it on my credit card until i sell the Zed rather than loose out.

I've been looking at replacing the Zed with an 81 C3, or possibly an early C5.

Yeah, i looked at the 81 C3 too as i think they have massive street presence but i always liked the 80's shape and this one has the facelift dash package. That's quite rare without the facelift body. Means i get modern interior styling with retro exterior looks.

I considered a C3 Stingray at one point, but they are a true old classic now and will drive accordingly I would think!
