bugger, I can't find it...

but not hard.... two bolts at front and back of door near the sill that control the angle the window is at...

there is a locking nut on them and you them, have to adjust them to get the window the tilt in a bit more towards the car.

they will need to the adjusted in opposite directions... (you'll see when you do it)

I can't remember what I had to remove to get to them (might have to be the door card) but I don't thing it was too difficult...

it's also worth checking this.. (to make sure its not damaged)

You sure it's the bolt that's come away and not the nylon roller?

In either case, I'd take the window out to inspect it. Despite myth and legend, the window glass is really really easy to remove and refit. Whip off the door card, plug the e/w switch, roll glass down, take out the speaker enclosure, unclip the exterior b-pillar finisher (push rivets in to release), remove weather strip, unscrew the 2 bump stops and remove, undo the 2 10mm bolts holding the glass to the scissor mech and remove.

You can refit the bolt and tighten with thread lock to save it happening again or you can buy new pins which have new nylon rollers on. They're not expensive and will stop the window from rattling.

Refit everything in the reverse order. Would take me about 20 minutes a side.

Thanks for the input guys. This bolt that goes through the window I found a post on here ages ago via Jeff. Saying remove the top seat belt bolt and then remove the plastic cover and there's apparenty a black bit of tape covering a hole. Behind that there's a 10mm nut apparently just above the seat belt hole. ....... This has only happened since I fitted the new metal door lock mechanism part

just looked again and as I peeled the rubber apart to have a look the black nylon roller is just loose in there it seems the window bolt has somehow been pushed off it. ( like a ball and socket joint) im wondering if this can be pushed back or will I have to remove the window?
