15 years, 3 Zeds, 2 forums (or was it 3?) and 208,000 miles

Must be mad. Just looking up service history ahead of visit to Eurospec on Thurs and noticed I bought my first Zed 15 years ago today. 208,000 miles later I'm on my third. If I'd topped the bloody salesman back then, I'm sure I'd be out by now.

There are so many people here and in the ZClub who've kept my enthusiasm (and Zeds) going over the years - too many to thank individually but you know who you are so thanks anyway.

Apart from that, why do I bother? I still can't find any better looking sports coupe/GT which looks this good, drives so well and had so much load space for when I need it. What don't I like? The mpg is too old-school and it sometimes bugs me to be using it as a daily commuter. Deserves better care, really. Still cars are built to be driven even if it is just round the NCR.

Hopes for the future? Wish I could give up the London commute so I could go back to a TT manual! More likely, keep it stock (someone has to) and keep it well looked after. Get the slight rust spots done and that ding. Oh and replace yet another bloody passenger window switch trim.

If I'm still Zedding in 15 years, you have my permission to shoot me/get me sectioned.

Looking forward to Beaulieu - Happy Zedding one and all.

There is not much you dont know about these cars Mike. I remember when I met you at Belfast Airport and drove you up to Sudesh's to buy your present day Z you knew exactly what to look for in a 99 spec Z. Then there was your Z that appeared in Top Gear and beat the others in the Z range in a drag race

Keep Zeding mate :punk:

Awesome stuff Mike! You were there to check my Z over with Richard Smith 10 years ago when you still had your first one (silver TT)! Looking forward to seeing you at Beaulieu!!! :)

Well put!

I remember meeting you and getting my first z, hope to get zeding again soon
