I took the day off to day and drove to a engineering place 45mile round trip I emailed them a few days before to see if they could make a load of braces like the one I have thinking it would be very cheap to made a load up and sell on for cost to you guys .the shop wanted £25 each to make copys of the one I have I would then have to buy longer bolts to bolt to car pack them up and post costs so would have been over £30 each so I know you wouldn't pay that shame its as the change in pedal feel is night an day they work very well. sorry chaps I did try. here is a pic of the one I use on my car

That's a fair price to manufacture a small batch. How many was that for and did it include the Anodised finish?

I asked to make 15 to 20 so there would be plenty to go round at first I was just trying to do it for cost to help the club no profit.

Well I would say that ~£30 was a reasonable price to pay for a CNC'd part and bolts and P&P. Well done for having a go.

Sounds reasonable to me too.

the bolts would have been a few pound and the post so could dof went of 30 rips and I would have had to pay for the 20 odd up front and then wait for months to get me money back I would have been happy to do it if I could of had them made cheap so I tried but am out now you mite as well just order from here http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?products_id=1876

That's a VERY brazen comment. Most members on here won't think twice about helping others, other people run legitimate businesses as a livelihood. Those that rip people off and do crap work aren't here anymore.

 

I like your product and think you're doing a good thing, but you need to rethink that statement a little bit as there is a LOT of generosity and helpfulness in this club.

I have given parts away and had parts given to me by members so I know there are nice people on here. I was just saying I have not seen anyone go out there way to try give something back to the club for cost only like I was trying to do. if that makes sence I was not saying people don't do kind things I know they do

Got to agree with Si on this, plenty of people over the years have gone out of their way to help others and it's rarely about the money - that's what makes this place so fantastic.

The Clubs Committee is doing a lot for its members Dan. Remember the threads for all the National sail banners and REO banners plus a Motorsport banner. Plus we are putting together a few surprises for Coventry. So with this alone we have spent in excess of £3000 so we are trying to do the best we can for the club plus there will be more announcements for further shows and the expense to the Club and not its members. So please dont think we sit here and do nothing.

thats not quite true .. over the past years on here i have done quite a few deals for 300zx drivers at no profit gain what so ever

the last one i did just end of last year was the twinz stuff .. over 10 grand worth .. not 1 penny was taken :(
