Difference between 91 and 93 clocks?

Hi all,

What st he diffence between the 2? I have a 93 tt but can't see a difference between them?

I'm ordering the titanium clock ring's from czp and it asks for the year. 90-91 to 92-96.

my clocks have the turbo gauge/oil pressure as i know they was removed on later zed.

Thanks Dan

96+ had those gauges removed. Some 95 models (96 model year) also. Returned in 98.

.....the only differences were the plugs on the back, but visually, they're the same.

It seems that the USDM cars had a variant between these years, but I'm not convinced that UKDM or JDM cars had the same changes. The large rings are all the same size regardless of the model year, whereas the small rings are fractionally smaller in the early USDM cars.

I bought a set of chrome rings for my 93 so they sent me a 92-96 set (the set with the larger diameter of the small rings). These didn't fit my series 2 UK clocks, or my series 2 Jspec clocks, or a spare cluster I have which was from an early series 1 car.

You're more than welcome to try these rings in yours first so you know which ones to buy, but I suspect that our cars will need the smaller rings (90-92) for series 1 and series 2 at least (89-94).

Thanks Joely I'm in the states right now I ordered the 92-96 earlier before I read your post :(.

I may have to buy another set as well just to get it right.

cheers Dan
