This was a price I dreamed about :D

I have one of these sitting in the shed didnt know what the tune on it was

Are they all mapped the same?

And if so whats the map on them?

There are about 3 different tunes on the MINES ecu iirc. The only real way of telling which one it is, is to read it to see what the parameters are on it; you need special software and a connector to do that. People like Noel (turbonoz) and John Dixon would be able to do that.

I wouldn't say that any of the Japanese tunes are ideal for UK fuels though. The MINES ECU, as with the one I have which is an IMPUL ECU should come with a ZIF connector in it which means there's no need to de-solder a chipset, or indeed accidentally bend pins on a chip carrier. ZIF connectors are great for quickly swapping out chips without the worry of any damage.

Would any rolling road tuner be able to read it i havent fitted it to car cause incase it damages my engine

there just the plaque with no 1960 on it and on the bottom a sticker with no.1 on it

sorry for spaming ur thread

Yeah or you could mail it to someone who knows what that parameters mean based on what is and is not good for UK engines.

It will be safe enough to run, some of their maps are quite aggressive, but that's generally when you're running higher boost levels.

With particularly this one made 338hp on totally stock engine & turbos

Most of the older more generic chips carried basic maps which only really have an increased rev range, different knock map and dump more fuel. You would expect a bit more power @ 16PSi on stock turbos.

What sort of power should it bring at bout 1 bar

iv a fmic aftermarket downpipes and decat. Blitz air filter stanard apart from that was going to fit the mines ecu and boost controller

Then up boost to 14 or 15 psi

So we tested this Mines Ecu and stock but remapped Ecu on the same TT. The result was 338hp vs 375hp.
