Hello everyone,

Based in Cheshire with a 1990 TT - the 300 is something I always wanted as kid! It is mildly modified but not up to my standard. I am currently in the process of building a new wiring loom out of aircraft spec wiring (nickel plated copper; the lower resistance allows a step down in gauge over "normal" wire generally), have two old engines being made into one forged one and the bodywork is going to be changed (bringing back the original lights). Oh and it's going to get a diet. :P It's not going to be a race car but I want a super car that Nissan intended :P

Anyway, looking forward to learn a lot.

Welcome to the club mate.

Look forward to updates on your build, and don't forget the pics.... Its law here don't you know :)

If there is any thing you need to know or need help with, then your in the right place.

Hey man, that pricked my ears up because that is exactly my build brief to myself, "supercar" not "track/racecar".

Welcome to the club and of course PICTURES!

Welcome along. I would be careful using aircraft wiring. It is high quality but after I asked a mate ( aircraft electrician) he warned me its not a good idea.

Thanks for the welcomes; I will add pictures when I next get on. I'm an aircraft electrician myself and I can't see a downside to using aircraft grade wire. It doesn't burn so I guess you can't smell anything going wrong! lol. It has less resistance and better temperature resistance. Was he worrying about the kapton?

We have a few aircraft engineers on here! I used to work for a company who manufactured high voltage test equipment for the aviation and military industries. Very very interesting places to visit!
