Just a couple of points Jay :

 

1) I get enough spam already thanks. Honest. I'm not encouraged to find my forum friends sending me 'automated mail'

 

2) Can't say I was overly impressed with your tt.net post saying that your site was set up because this one was too expensive

 

3) I did go to your site and note that although you have plenty of links, you don't currently have one to this site, despite the fact that you're using this site to find addreses for spamming for new members

 

Now I know I have made an assumption that the Jaylox who sent me the mail was you. I've also assumed that you got my mail address from here (although I'm 99% certain of that as I use different addresses in different places).

 

Would appreciate your comments. And those of any other members of course.

 

Years of development has gone into this site and I think that you, like the rest of us have benefitted. How about supporting it ?

I've had a look at the site and it looks like it needs a lot of funding. It's slow as fvck for a start and looks very disorganised.

 

I can't believe that for just £20 you get all this inofrmation and you think that's expensive.

now dont get me wrong, i'm not against any form of competition, but thats not what this is about

 

payments from members has paid for this server and software to be the best available at the time, and will pay for bandwidth when we exceed our allocated limit.

 

forums just do not run very well on free web space.

 

if you think it is expensive or unreasonable to pay 20 quid towards keeping it here, then the only reasons i can think of for not wanting to pay would be because you are new here and have not fully appreciated the place yet, or because you mistrust me

 

after all, i have only been a zed owner for 3.5 years, and owned the domain and run the forum with nico for 3 of those years...

 

where's my commitment to the community ? how can you trust a fly by night like myself :D

 

oh yeah.. almost forgot... i did not receive the spam mail...

I started getting sick porn spam a while ago to mike.duffy at my domain, instead of the usual mduffy I use. mike.duffy is also the address that Jaylox used. Very strange! Where exactly did you get my address Jaylox? Very curious 'coz you appear to be associating with sick porn spammers.

i would hazard a guess (already looked :) ) that it came from tt.net

I have enough forums to read my way through here without joining another that has no members.

Maybe it will fill up but until then I imagine it's going to be slow to get going.

Just had a look at my (virtually unused) profile on TwinTurbo.net and I've got mike.duffy instead of mduffy in there. This was a typo on my part as I never use mike.duffy as an email address.

 

So this is were all the sick paedophile spammers and Jaylox got my address from. Nice.

didn't get the spam (and on tt.net) but all I can say is slow as fcuk, javascript errors everywhere and missing links.

 

think i'll stay here for a while lmao

1,my brother sent the emails,the emails were obtained from friends in the usa who i have contracts with for my c/f,they just helped me and my bro out with contacting some uk zedders,ive never been on here or ttnet for anything,some good friends/members on ttnet have helped loads tho and thanks to them

 

2 mike i can find out where your email is from and its upsetting to see what youve written,i thought you were a friend,pretty nasty

 

3 warren the kits are ready but ive had to supply others first who i have contracts with

 

4 my site was setup for some friends in the states and here(uk)as we all kept chopping between several sites and we were getting pissed off,ive set it up and please excuse me but its only my 2nd forum,as you can tell ive self taught myself in 3 months and i am still learning.i could of used the vbullitin code as its not that much to buy but i thought id mess about with php and add to it as i could,my site at the moment is just a SHELL AND HAS NO REAL CONTENT BUT THAT WILL IMPROVE AS I GO ALONG!to double the speed cost pennies too,i'll sort that when i get a few members

That email has only ever been used by you and people who sent me sick filth. So whoever your friends are, I'd ask them where they got the email address from.

 

I've not called you anything and all I've said is your email source is the same as the one that sick spam comes from.

 

I don't like receiving spam and after receiving this sick filth, I bought products to stop it. Then I get your email to the same address.

Can I also add that I in no way insinuate that you have anything to do with sending me sick porn spam. However, someone is harvesting email addresses from TwinTurbo.net. This has been used for sick porn and your "spam" email that I received. I find this deeply disturbing and I would have words with the people who harvested these addresses for you as someone somewhere is providing these addresses to sick people.

 

Once again, may I make it absolutely clear that I in no way insinuate that Jaylox has anything to do with the sick porn spam. Just not to sure of the people who are harvesting TwinTurbo.net and providing these addresses.

Can I say in his defence that a year ago I set up a hotmail account just to transfer files from Uni to home. For when I dont have a disc and stuff. And considering I only sent to and from the same hotmail account, I.E. send emails to the same hotmail address, within 3 weeks I was getting porn and stuff. I now dont use it because I get so much junk mail coming through it.

Everyone is free to do what they want in this wide wonderful world of the internet so good luck to jaylox. But it is a shame that people can't see working together is usually better than splintering apart.

 

For example, if the forum is supposed to be a glorified shop, why not just take space on craig's (our) forum in the traders section?

I know what you mean about people getting hold of hotmail addresses Stu.

 

However, I run my own mail server and this email address is unused. I entered it as a type mistake into TwinTurbo.net and it shouldn't exist. However, I catch mail sent to most derivatives of my name on the server, just in case someone important wants to contact me and guesses the address.

 

This email doesn't exist anywhere in the world apart from on my profile in TwinTurbo.net.

There are programs now that just scower the internet just looking for email addresses you know. Maybe you got by one of them

I didn't mean any offence and hope we are still mates.

 

I don't read ANY other forums as I'm too busy with this one and I would have made sure I had a link to this site that's all I was saying. I've got a lot of friends on this site.

 

As Gio pointed out, a few things you have done/posted make it look like you are trying to get members to move to your forum and I know it has upset quite a few people as you can see.

You haven't been on this forum for a while either which does make it look like you've left to take people with you.

 

Why did you not go under the traders section here?

There are already lot of us who know you and want bits off you.
