Morning all, just tried a test fit of new rear wheels but them seem to extend beyond wheel arch looking straight down from above??

Wheels are Rota GTR 18x9.5j ET30

Fronts seem ok they are 18x8.5j ET30

I haven't fitted tyres yet so I can return if wheels are wrong, they were ordered for the z.

Anyone throw any light on this??

I thought that was the correct dimensions.

Thanks

Forgot to add, they extend roughly 3/4" but the suspension was hanging due to no tyres, but can't see the suspension pulling wheel in far enough when at ride height??

That does seem about right and my hope is it will be confirmed further for you, once you get a tyre on with perhaps a shade of stretch it'll be fine.

What tyres are you going for, I have vredestein ultrac sessanta and they do give the look of stretch without dropping the width and hence tuck under attractively.

With the rear of the car on axle stands at the rear jacking points, use a trolley jack under the rear hub to compress

the suspension up to the point the car just starts to lift. The suspension will be in the driving position (to all intents)

and you will then be able to see the true relation of the wheel to the bodywork.

Should be OK if you've not lowered you suspension or using coilovers I had kei racing wheels on mine and they were OK

Then I put coilovers on mine and GTRs and had to get the arches rolled.

get some upper camber arms and adjust them alittle .. put a slight stretch on the tyre .. and get the Lip of the arch rolled you be good to go

9.5 ET 30>40 is close the edge of the arch but nothing major

an offset of 30 is tight. An offset of +35 puts the tyre right on the limit so that extra 5mm will probably mean a bit of arch rolling
